Palos Verdes Wild! Farm-to-Table & Foraged Feast
with Chef Paul Buchanan March 16, 6:30–10pm Palos Verdes Art Center 5504 West Crestridge Road Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275
Celebrate the Bounty of the Wild! Join us March 16 at Palos Verdes Art Center for a dining experience highlighting the palette of our local foodshed.
This special event launches the exhibitions Capturing a Vision: The Portuguese Bend Tradition, curated by Katrina Vanderlip and INHABIT: The Olmsted Brothers at Palos Verdes Peninsula, curated by Hilairie Schackai.
Palos Verdes Wild! features Chef Paul Buchanan, one of the founders of the Farm-to-Table movement. Chef Paul is committed to local, seasonal cuisine; founding his catering company, Primal Alchemy, on the principles of sustainability years ago.
The dinner will feature locally foraged elements such as coastal sage, stinging nettles, prickly pear and Palos Verdes Sea Salt; combined with ingredients from our farmer and rancher friends. Some of them include Weiser Family Farms, Gayton Farms, Drake Farms and Diamond Mountain Ranch.
Your palate will embark on a delightful journey through our multi-course, handcrafted meal. Starting with carefully composed appetizers, followed by supper served ‘family style’ to share, and finishing with a tantalizing dessert.
Join the fun for an homage to the art of food, as Chef Paul Buchanan brings plein air to the plate. Also featured, Craig Torres, author of Cooking the Native Way, and live jazz by Barrel Fever.
